Melani Bolyai, L.Ac., Dipl. C.H., Doula
Melani Bolyai, L.Ac., Dipl. C.H., Doula is a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist and Childbirth Doula, specializing in treatment and support for infertility issues for women and men, and pregnancy health. Melani clinically trained in New York University’s Initiative for Women with Disabilities at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester, and Lutheran Medical Center of Brooklyn.
Highly experienced with using acupuncture to treat pregnant women and gynecological health, she served as an Acupuncture Supervisor in Lutheran Medical Center's labor and delivery ward providing instruction and doing research studies on how to use acupuncture to induce labor and reduce labor pain.
Melani is a graduate of Mercy College's B.S. Health Science/M.S. Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine program where she completed training in Eastern medicine as well as the equivalent Western medical training received by physician assistants. Prior to graduate school, Melani worked as an environmental consultant after graduating magna cum laude from Cornell University with a degree in environmental science.
Melani Bolyai is the owner of Natural Qi Acupuncture and Herbs, where she practices. Her practice is located at 80 East 11th Street, near Union Square, in New York City.
